Trend Watch: The Perfect Peplum

Lady Gaga
Kate Middleton
Peplums are one of the biggest trends right now. They're everywhere! Peplums are getting increasingly popular with the celebs, including Kate Middleton and Lady Gaga. Celeb Boutique have created a dress named after Rochelle Weisman from The Saturdays, and, surprise, surprise, it has a peplum! I personally love them. I think they add class to a dress-no matter what type. I've found some high-street peplums and I've also posted some celeb fans of the trends. Enjoy! x

Cape-athon: Still going strong!

I posted a few weeks ago about the Red carpet 'cape' trend. And it's still going strong. At last night's Diamond Jubilee concert for Queen Elizabeth, there were plenty of capes on show. The Queen arrived in a very stylish black cape, complete with gold buttons and when Shirley Bassey sang she sported one aswell. Pics are below! I've also sourced some high street capes so you can get in on the trend yourself. Enjoy! x

Queen Elizabeth

Jubilee Frock-athon: Kate Middleton

The Front

The Back

Look at that fascinator!
On the final day of Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee celebrations, Kate Middleton pulled out all the stops. And, surprise, surprise, Alexander McQueen made an appearance again! Kate looked absolutely stunning in an Alexander McQueen dress. It had an ivory background, covered in light-brown lace. Her signature nude courts     were on show as well, she is hardly ever seen without them. But it was her fascinator, by Jane Taylor, that really pulled the whole outfit together. Not wanting to upstage the Queen, she kept the length of the dress to below the knee. Her long locks looked gorgeous, subtly curled at the back. She carried a small, simple clutch, understanding that the dress did all the talking. I think this is one of the nicest looks I've seen on her. x

Kate Middleton: Loves a bit of McQueen!

Arriving in Birmingham after the riots

In Hollywood

On her first overseas tour

At the Sun military awards

Arriving for the Floatilla
I've come to the conclusion that Kate Middleton is quite a big fan of Alexander McQueen! She has been spotted in many of his frocks. From floating down the Thames to mingling with A-listers in Hollywood, she's done it all. Here are the frocks! x

Celeb of the Week: Selena Gomez

LOVE this smiley-face dress!
Boho-Chic
Selena Gomez definitely deserves this weeks 'Celeb of the Week' based on her fashion choices. And the dresses she was seen out in this week are why she is worthy of this title. Her smiley face maxi-which was right on trend with it's assymetrical skirt-is one of the nicest summer frocks I have seen yet. Her casual style looks so effortlessly chic, and she makes her outfits look so easy!! And, of course, you can't forget the sunnies for that bright L.A sun!! x

The Royal Floatilla: Kate Middleton shines

Arriving

Stepping onto the boat
The Royal Floatilla, as part of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations, is currently underway. The Royals are currently floating down The Thames, with, of course, no shortage of fashion! Kate Middleton looks absolutely gorgeous in a red Alexander McQueen dress. She has her long, flowing locks secured with a red fascinator, made my Lock&Co. She's almost stolen the limelight from the Queen, but not quite, as the Queen looks fantastic in a white coat-dress and a white hat. I look forward to seeing what Kate will come out with over the next few days! x

Tulisa: Dainty but Fierce

Tulisa Constostavlos was spotted at an event this week in a printed mini. The colours were very summery-blues , whites and turquoises. But she added a feisty element to it with her black high heel ankle boots, which were covered in gold studs. The dress also had a gold-studded belt, so it accentuated that. Personally, I like the studs but I think the boots were too much, especially since it's June. But altogether, the look worked. x
