Woweeeee!

djenvy.net
Yummy-Mummy-To-Be Kate Middleton STUNNED last night in what was her first public engagement since leaving hospital last week. Even though I was tired, I stayed up to watch The Sports Person of the Year Awards, as I had heard the rumours that she was presenting an award there, and I wasn't going to miss the chance to see a K-Middy outfit! And I wasn't disappointed! She wowed in a gorgeous, dark green full length Alexander McQueen dress. She was right on trend, as this green is THE colour of 2013 (take not, ladies!) - mainly because of her! Following the trends she sets, cute! :* ......But the most striking thing about this dress is the thigh-high (yes, I'm serious, thigh-high!) split. She's only previously worn one dress with a split, and it sent the world spinning. She's done it again this time! I love the split, I like to see her having a bit more fun with her choices. As she walked down the steps, she showed off her perfect pins and black courts - much to everyone's awe. I love the neck of this dress too and I am beginning to see a trend in her dresses - she had worn several dresses with sleeves like the one here. Another flawless outfit! She presented the award for Lifetime Achievement and Sports Person of the Year, with David Beckham by her side! :) x

Look of the Week

This week's 'Look of the Week' is Sophia Bush's clingy full length gown. I love the print and the split is fab! I love the length of the sleeves - an unusual length but I really like it. The print is also really nice. It's different to anything I've ever seen on a gown before. The whole dress is absolutely gorgeous and there's a hint of fashion-forwrdness in it. I'd love to see more dresses with sleeves like this! :) x

Look of the Week: Nicole Sherzinger

Look of the Week just HAS to be this jahmazing (see what I did there?!) gown Nicole Sherzinger wore for the first part of The X Factor final last night. I love the shape and the colour. The whole thing over-all is a work of art! I couldn't wait for Nicole's outifts this X Factor season, however, she let me down almost every time! I didn't lose hope though and I was delighted last night when she came out in this! I can't wait to see what she pulls out of the bag tonight! x

Make me up!

For my 16th birthday, I took a trip to Brown Thomas with my mom and finally got some decent make up! I got MAC. I've never had proper foundation, I've always used the cheap stuff so this was a treat for me! I'm going to give an account of each product (they'll all be glowing, believe me!), so enjoy! I've put the name of each at the bottom of the picture, so you know. Everything here, apart from the brushes is MAC.

Right, this is everything together - the make up, the brushes and the bag. The whole nine yards, you could say!

First up are the brushes (as you may have already noticed!) - I didn't get them from MAC though, because I think most brushes do the same thing. These are from the body shop. I have a powder, foundation, blush and eye shadow. They're soft against my skin, and spread the foundation evenly.

The foundation I have is NW20. I'm not that up on my make up that I know exactly what that is, however the shades go up in 5's, so the next one down is 15 and the next one up is 25. It came with a sponge however I use a brush because I think it spreads it more evenly but you can use either.
NW20

There are two different types of blush - a 'wet' one and a powder one. I got the powder but my mom has the 'wet' one. There's not much difference in the colour, the wet one is just more like a foundation. The powder has a really nice shimmer in it, something that the 'wet' one is missing.
Dainty

Eyeshadow! :D I never, ever wear eyeshadow because I think some of the strong colours can be a bit gawdy. But I love, love this colour! The picture doesn't do it justice. It's a light white-gold and it has tons of shimmer running through it. I love the look it gives your eyes, and the colour catches the light which gives extra dimension to your eyelid.
A natural flirt

I got liquid concealer, and although it came with a small brush (in the pic!) I use the foundation brush to get it more even. This is the same tone as the foundation (NW 20). This is really good to cover redness and even out your skin before you put on the foundation.
NW20

And where would you be without a little lippy?! This colour is so nice. All you need is one layer as it stays on for ages. (It also smells really nice!)
Captive (A82)

And then a slick of eyeliner! Eyeliner is my thing. If I could have only one item of make up, it would be eyeliner. It makes your eyes look instantly gorgeous and it makes them pop. You can't see the colour properly here, but it's a shiny brown...the shimmer in it compliments the eyeshadow when you wear them together.
Lord it up

And after all that, I had get a bag to keep all of this safe! This is just a bag from Penneys, but I fell in love with it when I saw it! It's really stylish and the perfect size. I love the gold studs and zip. Some make up bags may as well be suitcases! I just wanted something small and handy. And that's exactly what I got!

I didn't get mascara, as I didn't think there was much point. There's not much difference between the brands. The one I use at the moment is Essence. Nothing fancy but it does the job! ") x

Whatta Steal!

Victoria Beckham is one of my favorite designers of late. But her price tags aren't everybody's friends! So I've come across a dress that is almost an exact replica of one of hers! You're welcome! ;) x

Look of the Week: Mollie King

It was so hard to choose a 'Look of the Week' but, it just had to be Mollie King's stylish coat. One of my favorite things for winter time are coats that you can put on and instantly have an outfit. And Mollie's is one of those. I love, love, love this! The black lining is such a small detail but it adds so much more to it. I love how she's teamed it with tan. It was hard to choose, but I think this outfit was definitely worthy!! x

High-waisted Love!

Posting my first full outfit today!! I know I haven't posted in a while...but I've been trying to figure out what to do on the blog...so I've come to a decision....I'll keep doing what I was doing but I'll just add in more of my own looks...I'd like to be able to make different pages but I haven't yet figured out how to do that! If anyone knows how...please leave a comment for me! Thanks!

So here's my first full outfit for you guys! I just got these short in New Look the other day...I've been looking high and low for a pair of denim shorts and the fact that they're high-waisted was a bonus! You can't see it here, but there's an exposed zip in the back (gold-for extra luxury! ;) )....the small things add so much detail and style to them...here I've teamed them with this simple black and white t-shirt, black leggings, grey ugg boots and a maroon snood. I'm a sucker for all things black and white...and grey is my favorite colour (I know, boring!) but I never let my outfit go without a splash of colour...and this snood does exactly that. It's cosy and stylish-my kinda item! ;) This outfit is going to be my go-to look for emergencies! It's comfortable and stylish-what more could you want!?! x
